D365 Business Central Senior Consultant (AI-Focused)

We Are Dcoded are a technology recruitment partner working with a fast-growing Microsoft consultancy that is expanding its Dynamics 365 Business Central and AI capability. As part of this growth, they are looking to hire a Senior / Principal Business Central Consultant with strong D365 AI, Copilot and Agent experience.

This is a senior, client-facing role where you will go beyond traditional ERP delivery—helping organisations modernise operations, unlock automation, and embed AI-driven decision-making across their Business Central environments.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end D365 Business Central solutions while shaping how AI is adopted across client organisations. This includes Copilot enablement, AI readiness assessments, intelligent workflows, and bespoke agent-led automation.

The role is hybrid, with remote working as standard and occasional office or client-site visits when required. All equipment is provided.

This position sits at the intersection of ERP, AI and business transformation. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding them on how to maximise value from Business Central, AI capabilities, and wider Microsoft technologies—both now and as their organisations scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead D365 Business Central projects end-to-end, from discovery through to go-live and post-implementation support

• Act as the senior client-facing consultant, building long-term relationships and driving high retention

• Conduct detailed business process reviews to identify efficiency gains and automation opportunities

• Lead AI readiness assessments, advising on Copilot, Agents and intelligent workflow adoption

• Configure, customise and optimise Business Central to align with client workflows and strategic objectives

• Collaborate with developers to design and deliver bespoke extensions, integrations and AI-powered agents

• Oversee data migrations, ensuring accuracy, integrity and readiness for live environments

• Deliver engaging user training sessions and create clear, practical documentation

• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting and optimisation post-implementation

• Contribute to the development of AI governance frameworks aligned with emerging regulations

• Stay current with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, AI and industry best practices

Skills & Expertise

• Deep, hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS implementations)

• Strong understanding of finance and core ERP business processes

• Proven experience with D365 AI, Copilot and intelligent agents (essential)

• Exposure to the wider Microsoft ecosystem (Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure) is highly desirable

• Experience working within structured delivery frameworks (e.g. Prince2, Sure Step)

• Comfortable running smaller projects independently and contributing to larger, complex programmes

• Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic, consultative mindset

• Microsoft certifications in D365 Business Central are advantageous

• Curious, forward-thinking and genuinely excited by AI and emerging technology

Experience & Profile

• Typically 4+ years’ experience as an ERP / Dynamics consultant

• Well-suited to a Senior BC Consultant stepping into a Principal-level role

• Confident discussing AI strategy, Copilot adoption and automation with senior stakeholders

• Experience mentoring or supporting junior consultants is a plus
